Vacancy For a Tenor Choral Scholar

2015/2016 Academic Year

Owing to the recent promotion of our Tenor Choral Scholar to the position of Vicar Choral, we now have an immediate vacancy. Free housing in the beautiful mediaeval Vicars’ Close, with a generous scholarship, extra fees package, and funding for singing lessons. Applications are welcome from experienced gap-year or graduates.

Matthew Owens, Organist & Master of the Choristers, is always pleased to hear from parents of prospective choristers and we are particularly looking for children in current school years 3 to 5 to start in September 2016. We will be holding pre-auditions in November and December 2015 in advance of the main auditions in January.

Scholarships and additional bursaries for Wells Cathedral School, which all choristers attend, are available.

Volunteers Needed

Do you like helping and meeting new people?

Can you spare a couple of hours a week or month?

We have various roles available, but primarily volunteers are needed to greet, welcome and offer help to visitors to Wells Cathedral.
