Cathedral Choir sings at Choral Evensong at Downside Abbey

Last Sunday, the Cathedral Choir sang Choral Evensong at Downside Abbey.

Downside is a Roman Catholic monastery near to Wells, and is home to the Benedictine Community of St Gregory the Great. The previous Thursday, the monks from the Downside community, along with the Schola Cantorum of Downside School, came and sang Choral Vespers in Wells Cathedral.

Both events were part of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, the ecumenical movement within the Christian churches.
