Hospitals and hospices

Our outreach programme focusses on bringing parts of the Cathedral to those in hospitals and hospices.

As many patients find it difficult or impossible to travel this project allows us to bring some of the joy of our music-making directly to them. Recently our boy choristers travelled to St. Margaret’s hospice centres in Taunton and Yeovil, giving concerts in each. These were greatly appreciated by patients, family and friends together with staff, and the programme of uplifting music performed has recently been recorded in aid of St Margaret’s Hospice on the choir’s latest CD – ‘Songs of Sunshine’.
