The Girl Choristers of Wells Cathedral have just returned from a very successful trip to Inverness, where they gave a concert at Inverness Cathedral to raise money for its Cathedral Development Fund.

Whilst in Scotland the choristers stayed in Drumnadrochit near Loch Ness and enjoyed visits to the Battlefield of Culloden, the Highland Folk Museum, and a boat trip to try to find Nessie!

Annabel Green, Head Chorister, said ‘We had a great time learning about Scotland and its history, whilst enjoying the music and having fun with our friends. It was the highlight of this term’.

Matthew Owens, Organist & Master of the Choristers at the Cathedral felt the trip was a fantastic opportunity for the girls, and commented ‘the Girl Choristers were wonderful ambassadors in every way, for Wells and for Somerset. The tour was a triumph!’

Inverness Cathedral stated that ‘the concert ranks as one of highest quality performances which we have enjoyed in the Cathedral’.  The concert raised over £500 for the Inverness Cathedral Development Fund.
