"As
the Kingdom of God is shaped and reshaped in our own
souls, so the Cathedral, glorious icon of the Spirit,
is shaped and reshaped for the present as for the future."
Richard Lewis, Dean Emeritus of Wells Cathedral
March 2003
The Friends exist to support and help the Chapter in
the continuing mission of this holy place. They are
committed to the upkeep of the fabric and furnishings
and they support the worship and music of the Cathedral
Church of St.Andrew in Wells.
The Friends were formed in 1933 and have been associated
with many aspects of cathedral life over the years.
They are an association of people bound together in
their love of this building and in support of its work.
You will be welcome to join over three thousand Friends
