Current projects:
- a target of £1.8 million towards the Development
Project
- financial support for the Wells Cathedral Voluntary
Choir
- a contribution towards the work undertaken by
the flower arrangers
- the purchase of a hoist to help the staff in maintenance
of the building
- the provision of new display stands in the transepts
Future ambitions:
- to play a dynamic role in the development scheme
by funding a brand new building to provide the choir
with practice rooms, a library and cloakrooms, and
to provide facilities for the educational needs
of visiting children which will be known as The
Friends’ Building
- to provide ongoing support for the educational
needs of the Cathedral
- to continue to maintain a viable contingency fund
in order to assist the
Cathedral, where possible, with any unexpected and
urgent expenditure
This wonderful building is over 800 years old. To
ensure it continues its splendid work of witness and
worship in the 21st. Century, your help is
needed.
