Current projects:
- a target of £1.8 million to fund the Friends Building – a phase of the Development Project that provides the Cathedral Choir, and visiting Choirs, with practice rooms, changing rooms and library and provides facilities for the educational needs of visiting children as well as new and enlarged public toilets.
- financial support for the Wells Cathedral Voluntary
Choir
- a contribution towards the work undertaken by
the flower arrangers
- the purchase of a hoist to help the staff in maintenance
of the building
- the provision of new display stands in the transepts
Future ambitions:
- to provide ongoing support for the educational
needs of the Cathedral
- to continue to maintain a viable contingency fund
in order to assist the
Cathedral, where possible, with any unexpected and
urgent expenditure
- This wonderful building is over 800 years old. To
ensure it continues its splendid work of witness and
worship in the 21st. Century, your help is
needed.
