On Friday 9 September from 12pm-6pm Vicars’ Hall and the Muniment Room were open for free public visits as part of Heritage Open Days. Wells Cathedral Guides took almost 200 visitors on a tour of Vicars’ Hall, which remains almost unchanged since the middle of the 14th century. The Muniment Room houses the mediaeval filing cabinet used to keep the deeds of the Vicars’ properties.
