“Thy Kingdom Come” Prayer Fayre and Pentecost Service with a difference!

Thy Kingdom Come 2017

Sunday 4th Jun : 14:30 to 18:00

Try out different ways to pray and participate in a Pentecost Service with a difference here at Wells Cathedral on Sunday 4th June.

The event marks the close of “Thy Kingdom Come”, Archbishop Justin’s global call to prayer.

Between 2.30pm and 4.30pm over 15  prayer stations, located in the nave of the Cathedral, have been designed to offer a fresh experience of prayer: multi-sensory, playful, reflective and even through dance.

Refreshments will then be available before the start of a Pentecost Service at 5pm. The service will be led by Bishop Ruth Worsley with guest preacher Bishop John Perry, former Bishop of Chelmsford, plus an interview with Esther Rose Stewart, member of the Community of St Anselm’s at Lambeth Palace and featuring jazz band, Adam’s Apple.
