While admission to the Cathedral is free, donations are very welcome. We receive no regular direct state aid and need over £4,500 per day for the maintenance, upkeep and running costs of this magnificent working Cathedral.
If you are visiting us then please do consider making a donation; not only does this support the ongoing sustainability of this historic building, our worship, music and all our work here but also helps us to avoid admission charges. There is no separate charge for our daily scheduled tours of the Cathedral.
To help us with this the suggested guideline for individual visitors is as follows:
|Students and children||£3.00|
If you are a UK taxpayer please also consider Gift Aid. This scheme enables the Cathedral to claim a tax refund of an extra 25p for every £1 you give. Information for Groups and Travel Trade bookings is here.
Everyone is welcome to visit the Cathedral and to worship here irrespective of their ability to leave a donation.
