Assisted Visits

Assisted Visits

Staff and Cathedral guides are able to organise visits to groups that are unable to make it to the Cathedral in person.

The Cathedral’s work with older people sees us visiting sheltered housing schemes and nursing homes to give talks and audio visual presentations.

Cubs and Brownies and day care centres are also some of those who have benefited from this ‘Cathedral Roadshow’.

We then aim to bring these same parties back to the Cathedral to experience it first-hand, with visits tailored to suit the requirements of each group.

Bookings are welcome from visually impaired associations, special schools, and others needing assistance. We appreciate that all groups are different, so to discuss your requirements please contact the Head of Outreach and Learning via who will help you to plan your trip to the Cathedral.

Listen to our Music

As a consequence of the national lockdown all public worship, tours, concerts, and other events are suspended in Wells Cathedral until Wednesday 2nd December 2020 inclusive. The Café and Shop are closed, but the Cathedral remains open for individual prayer, lighting of candles and quiet reflection. All are welcome.
