Wells Cathedral is a vibrant, busy place. In addition to attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors each year, we are host to a wide variety of events, concerts and services and are experts in combining a unique location in Somerset with expert, high quality catering and event management.
Everything we do is founded upon wonderful core values of offering homemade quality and choice, using fresh produce sourced from local Somerset suppliers who share our values.
We can cater for any occasion from wine receptions and birthday lunches to anniversary dinners, wedding receptions and Christening parties in our medieval Vicars’ Hall and Cathedral café. You can view and download our Event Catering pack here.
An exceptional and magnificent medieval venue this room can be used for a variety of receptions. Lunch Group Bookings available for minimum numbers of 40. Private Evening Functions/Dinners, Corporate Hospitality etc available by arrangement.
This light and spacious room is the Cathedral’s daytime café located by the entrance. Group Catering bookings for Morning Coffee, Lunches and Afternoon Teas welcome (minimum number of 10)

We can provide you with an excellent range of function menus and help in planning your special events here at the Cathedral or at a venue of your choice. A range of our sample menus are listed in our Event Catering pack which you can download and print off. All costs are inclusive of VAT.

Special events and filming:
If you are interested in using Wells Cathedral or its precincts as a venue for a function, concert, service, filming or other event, please contact the Cathedral Administrator for further information. Please note the Cathedral diary is booked well in advance for certain dates/events.
