Wells Cathedral Annual Pass

English Cathedrals receive no regular funding from the Church of England or the Government towards maintenance, restoration and development work, a challenge which is often little understood both in this country and overseas.

Wells Cathedral work on roof

Here in Wells that means the Cathedral has to raise £4,500 per day which must be achieved via our own endeavours and with the help of our visitors, congregation and supporters.

The Cathedral welcomes thousands of visitors each year who join in with regular daily services and events and one of the major sources of regular income for the Cathedral to meet these costs is therefore from visitor entry donations.

Wells Cathedral Annual Pass

Anyone wishing to make a donation to the Cathedral and enjoy fast-track access for 12 months via the Cathedral’s Donation Desk can purchase a new Wells Cathedral ‘Annual Pass’. Annual Pass purchasers will also be given a free tea/coffee voucher for the Cathedral cafe (single use).

It is our policy to welcome everyone to the Cathedral irrespective of their ability to leave a donation.  However, we hope that the Annual Pass will provide a convenient method for those who feel able to contribute to our work.

How to Purchase an Annual Pass

The Annual Pass costs £15 and is valid for one year from the date of purchase.

To purchase an Annual Pass please come to the Donation Desk in the Cathedral between 10am-4pm (11am-3pm Sunday).

Details of other ways to make a donation can be found here.
