Choral Evensong sung by Wessex Cantorum

Description:Choral Evensong is held in the Quire of Wells Cathedral and is sung by the Wells Cathedral Choir during term time. This is open to the public and all are welcome. Wessex Cantorum is an adult choir that meets on some Sunday afternoons from 2.30 until 3.30pm. The choir is open to members of all faiths and currently has mainly Anglican members but there are a number of Roman Catholics and Methodists, but its main aim is to sing Choral Evensong at least 3 -4 times a year in a major cathedral. In 2018 the choir will have sung in Salisbury, Wells, St Paul’s and Llandaff cathedrals the last being a week long residential. Members come from all over the country and there is no fee to belong to this choir.There is a website to which you can gain more information.The choir is run by Mark Burgess FRCO(CHM) a former pupil of Nicholas Danby.
