Description:A service of Sung Eucharist held in the Nave of Wells Cathedral. In term time this is sung by the Wells Cathedral Choir. All welcome.
The Cathedral Choir is recognised as one of the finest choral ensembles in the region. In addition to Sunday morning responsibilities, the Cathedral Choir sings for services of Choral Evensong, on major feasts, participates in the Cathedral Commissions program, has in the recent past participated in community outreach collaborative concerts with other musical community organisations such as the New Mexico Philharmonic and the Santa Fe Opera, and is well-known for their internationally released http://">recordings with Raven CD. Tours form an important part of the Cathedral Choir’s evangelism to the greater musical and liturgical community. The Cathedral Choir has sung in such prestigious venues as Saint Thomas’ Church, Fifth Avenue, New York City, Washington National Cathedral, St. George’s Chapel, Windsor, Canterbury Cathedral, St. Paul’s Cathedral, London, Southwark Cathedral, London and York Minster, Winchester Cathedral and Westminster Abbey. The choir is thrilled to be in residence at Wells for the week.
