The internationally renowned WAC exhibition of some of the world’s finest contemporary art will be on display within the Cathedral’s magnificent cloisters, in the contemplative Camery Gardens as well as positioned within the Cathedral itself. This year the open art competition has attracted approximately 1,800 submissions from around 20 countries and a panel of highly respected judges will assess each piece for the final exhibition of shortlisted work. This year a series of forums will also be organised entitled “I know what I like”. These are chaired by Robin Sewell, an artist and long standing University Senior Lecturer in Fine Art. Robin will lead groups through the exhibition and hopes to enrich their viewing experience by discussing art works that they respond to and enjoy, as well as the one ones they find more difficult. Dates and price of the forums will be available shortly on the website. The exhibition is free of charge and open to all.
