Matthew Jorysz is AssistantOrganist of Westminster Abbey, where, along with the Sub-Organist, he isresponsible for playing the organ for services in the Abbey, accompanying theAbbey Choir, and assisting in conducting the choir and training the choristers.Before his appointment at Westminster Abbey, Matthew held the OrganScholarships at Clare College, Cambridge and Salisbury Cathedral.

He is also active as an organrecitalist and is developing a career as a pianist and chamber musician,collaborating chiefly with singers. His recently released recording of Russianart song with countertenor Hamish McLaren, "Sphinx", was selected asEditor’s Choice in Limelight magazine, which described him as ‘… the eloquentpianist throughout, a sensitive accompanist.’
