The Piedmont Singers is a musical outreach ministry of Grace Episcopal Church, Berryville, and Grace Episcopal Church, The Plains, both in northwest Virginia. The Piedmont Singers offer a unique musical ministry to our community, singing “soli Deo Gloria,” to the glory of God alone. Founded in 1999, the choir comprises volunteer singers from 15-20 churches in our region and has become known for offering the finest in sacred choral music from the Renaissance to the present day during the Christmas season and Holy Week. We have had the honour and privilege of making choral pilgrimages and serving as “visiting choir-in-residence” at Wells Cathedral in 2007, Canterbury Cathedral in 2009, St. Patrick’s Cathedral (Dublin) in 2012, York Minster in2015, and Christ Church Cathedral (Oxford) in 2018. In 2022, we sang at Durham Cathedral, St. Lawrence Church in York, Selby Abbey, Ripon Cathedral, and Beverly Minster. This summer we are pleased to serve our seventh choral residency, returning to Wells Cathedral, August 5-11.
