Sponsored Pilgrimage 2021

Sponsored Pilgrimage 2021

Wells Cathedral’s Sponsored Pilgrimage is returning for a second year! Let’s hope there is an improvement in the weather…

On Saturday 19 June, the Dean and Chapter of Wells Cathedral will make a pilgrimage from Glastonbury to Wells to help Wells Cathedral and St Margaret’s Hospice continue their important work in our communities.

Everyone is welcome to join the Pilgrimage which is approximately 7 miles long, starting at St. John’s, Glastonbury, and ending at the Cathedral in time for Evensong. If you would like to take part, please email sponsoredpilgrimagewells@gmail.com, and if you can, let us know how many people will be walking in your group (maximum 30 to comply with covid regulations!)

Both the Cathedral and the Hospice face very real financial challenges at this time. If you are able to support this special Pilgrimage, you will be making a tangible difference to the work of two landmarks of Somerset life. If you are taking part and would like to help, why not start your own fundraiser on the Sponsored Pilgrimage Just Giving page?

Last year’s Pilgrimage was a huge success raising over £11,000 for the Cathedral and the Hospice. With your help we can make this year’s event even more successful!
