Second Lockdown message from the Dean

Second Lockdown message from the Dean

Welcome to Wells Cathedral.

Please see the Dean’s Welcome and information about opening times during the second lockdown.

In this second period of lockdown, Wells Cathedral is open for individual prayer and reflection from 10am – 3:30pm daily. In the Cathedral there are candles to light and a prayerful, peaceful atmosphere which brings great solace to the soul.

This is a safe, peaceful and reflective space amidst the turmoil of our present life as a society.

Pastoral care is available for anyone who may need it.

All are welcome to prayerfully explore one of the most atmospheric Cathedral’s in the UK. Public worship is not permitted at present, but the Cathedral’s doors stand open for all to find calm, hope and strength in difficult days.

With very best wishes,

The Very Reverend Dr John Davies,

Dean of Wells
