I’ve been a professional painter all my working life, but I’m not a specialist; I paint murals and portraits, I’ve written and illustrated books and worked on ‘immersive theatre’ projects for museums and visitor centres. I also have a particular fondness for painting horses! But my faith keeps prompting me to try to engage with more eternal themes – to make a small hole in the curtain that hangs between us and The Kingdom, and put my eye to it. I enjoy using metaphor and symbolism - even wordplay and humour - to comment on or highlight spiritual themes in the everyday. I’ve had solo exhibitions at Southwell Minster and Peterborough Cathedral, and have had works regularly chosen for the Chaiya Awards.
