Wells Cathedral will be hosting artist Peter Walker's immersive art installation, Peace Doves, from Friday 26 April - Saturday 8 June 2024. Peace Doves is made up of thousands of individually handmade paper doves which will be suspended above the Cathedral's Nave. Each dove will contain a message of peace, love, and hope, inscribed on them by visitors to the Cathedral. Peace Doves is an artwork that has been re-curated for different spaces as it tours the UK. Adaptations have been seen in many Cathedrals including Rochester, Liverpool, Lichfield, Derby, Sheffield, Chichester, and St Albans. Peace Doves is set to music by composer David Harper.
