The Loft Café

Café refurbishment notice – Our Café will be temporarily CLOSED from Saturday 30 May to Monday 8 June while we make some improvements. We apologise for any inconvenience and look forward to welcoming you back soon.

Situated above the entry cloister of the Cathedral, The Loft Café offers a cosy space to unwind with homemade treats, seasonal specials, and stunning views of the West Front and moat of the Bishop’s Palace.

Open Daily Monday to Saturday 10am–4pm, Sunday 11am–3pm

All profits from the Loft Café go to supporting the work of the Cathedral.

Light Lunches and Tea Time Treats

We freshly prepare and bake on-site each day using local Somerset and Fairtrade produce wherever possible. Enjoy a range of morning pastries, warm cheese scones, and light lunch choices, then finish off some tasty homemade cakes and cream teas!

Hot Drinks and Afternoon Teas

Warm up with our selection of freshly-brewed and sustainably-sourced coffees, speciality teas, and indulgent hot chocolates. Whether you’re after a comforting cuppa or a barista-made espresso, our drinks are the perfect antidote to a busy day’s exploring.

Dog Friendly

Well-behaved dogs are welcome at The Loft Café. With homemade dog biscuits and a fresh water bowl on hand, your four-legged friend can enjoy their visit just as much as you do!
