Wednesday 7th October
16:00 - 17:00
Each year we give thanks for the founding, the history and the present ministry of the Cathedral.
This year, The Revd Dr Casey Strine, Theological Adviser to the House of Bishops and Minor Canon Theologian at Sheffield Cathedral, will give a lecture at 4.00 p.m. in the Education Room on the subject of 'They confessed that they were strangers and foreigners: What does the Bible say about Migration?'
The Bible is an anthology of texts written across centuries by and for communities on the move. Drawing on passages from Genesis, 2 Samuel, Hebrews and 1 Peter, Dr Strine will explore what these sacred texts can teach us about migration today, offering reflections on one of the most significant and often polarising issues facing modern society.
If you would like to come along to the talk, RSVP by email to office@wellscathedral.org.uk so that you can be included in the numbers.
