Sunday 12th October
15:00 - 16:00
The choir was founded in 1955 by a small group of church music enthusiasts, whose aim was to bring to the churches of Somerset and Devon part of the choral heritage of the Church of England. Initially named the Rural Church Singers, the choir was renamed In Ecclesia in 1995. We love to sing beautiful music in beautiful places, bringing choral services (usually Evensong) to churches which no longer have a full choir or where Evensong is rarely sung. We also sing services in Cathedrals up and down the land. Most recently we have sung at St George's Chapel, Windsor, Hereford, and Bath Abbey. We very much enjoy our visits to Wells - our "home" Cathedral, since we are based in Taunton.
This service is held in the Quire of Wells Cathedral. Please refer to the Cathedral's Services and Music List for further information.
