Join the St Agnes Singers for a lunchtime concert at Wells Cathedral. Saint Agnes Singers, first formed in 2007 has been directed by Melanie Uren since January 2008. Melanie is a very talented musician who studied at Trinity College, London; undertaking the four year Diploma course and the one year Post Graduate course in Vocal Performing. She was handpicked to perform under Stephen Jackson. As well as leading and directing Saint Agnes Singers, Melanie directs The Trengilly Singers and is both Choir Mistress and Organist at Helston Parish Church. Accompanist: Clive Ellison St Agnes Singers, rehearse nearly every Tuesday morning of the year, in the hall of Saint Agnes Methodist Church, from 10 until 11 am. They perform a wide variety of music, both accompanied, usually by Clive Ellison, or unaccompanied ; from the Middle Ages to the present time. In the past few years, the Singers have performed at the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod and Truro and Llandaff Cathedrals, as well as many local venues. The Singers are the Affiliated Choir for a hotel in Redruth and perform many times for them, mainly in the Christmas Season. In the year 2024-2025 the Singers gave 18 Performances in various venues.
