Join the Nottingham Choirs for a lunchtime concert at Wells Cathedral. Entry included with admission with a retiring collection in aid of Wells Cathedral. The Nottingham Youth Choir from Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada is a non-auditioned SATB community choir aged 13-18 directed by Amy Appleton. Since 2011 the Nottingham Choirs have participated in local and provincial festivals and numerous community performances singing folk, pop, and sacred music. This specific group focuses on a cappella repertoire - up to 8 parts. The choir meets for an hour each week during the school year with choristers splitting their extracurricular time between work, sports, instrumental study, and musical theatre. The Youth Choir will be joined by their parents, a few younger siblings, and grandparents on their final selections. On this tour the choir is thrilled to share their passion for music singing at Bath Abbey, Wells Cathedral, Emmanuel College Cambridge, Ely Cathedral, and FolkEast music festival.
