His book Music from the Hilltop: Organs and Organists at Southern Methodist University was published by University of North Texas Press in 2023, and his book Joyful Singing: A Story of Lutheran Sacred Music in Texas, published by Fortress Press in 2022, received the Concordia Historical Institute Award of Commendation.
