About the artist:
Susan Carol Woodson is a recitalist and isOrganiste –Titulaire of the historic Saint Nicholas Church in the heart ofBrussels, Belgium. Frequently participating in international festivals ofmusic, she has presented concerts throughout North America and Europe. As arecording artist, Dr. Woodson has completed several compact disc recordings,all of which have received international acclaim.
Recipient of numerous prizes and awards, Dr.Woodson was granted the Prix d’Excellence à l’Unanimité from TheNational Conservatory of Reuil-Malmaison, France, where she was a student ofMarie-Claire Alain. Other prizes and scholarships have been awarded by TheBelgian-American Education Foundation of Brussels, Belgium, The Yale school ofMusic of New Haven, Connecticut, and La Fondation des Etats-Unis of Paris,France, as well as other universities and music societies.
Susan Carol Woodson received the Doctor ofMusical Arts from Yale University School of Music.
Additional university degrees include the Masterof Music from The Juilliard School, the Bachelor of Music, Summa cum Laude,from The University of Tennessee, and the Diplome de Musique from The AmericanConservatory of Fontainebleau, France.
