The West Country is rightly renowned for its excellent cheese and cider, thanks to the local experts who have made taste their trade. Now you can support these local producers and try a wide range of the finest flavours in the region, at the Wells Cathedral Cider & Cheese Festival 2026!
After a hugely successful Cider & Cheese Festival 2025, we’re back with an even bigger selection of tasty treats at Wells Cathedral, on Saturday 26 September.
Whether you’re serious about your cider and a seasoned cheese connoisseur, or looking to sample the delectable delights of the South West for the first time, there will be plenty for your tastebuds to enjoy. As well as cider, there will be many alternatives to try too, including local gins, vodkas and rum, and unique, non-alcoholic options as well.
From 12 noon to 9pm you can explore a vast range of ciders and cheeses with many delicacies to choose from, and an array of artisan stalls offering further treats, from chutneys to preserves. Plus mouthwatering street food and our own Pop-up Café.
Throughout the day there will be live music, plus entertainment for the kids from Wookey Hole Caves, and giant garden games, making this a perfect event for all ages.

All tickets come with a Wells Cathedral Cider & Cheese Festival glass to take home and keep, a full event programme with tasting notes, plus full Cathedral access with the freedom to come, go and explore throughout the day.
