Ibstock Place School Choir brings together some of the school’s most experienced young singers, drawn principally from Schola Cantorum and Ibstock Choristers. Based in south-west London, the choir is at the heart of a thriving Music Department and enjoys a strong tradition of choral singing.
The choir performs regularly in concerts and services, with recent engagements including St Paul’s Cathedral, Southwark Cathedral, and Guildford Cathedral. Its wide-ranging repertoire encompasses Renaissance polyphony, the Anglican choral tradition, and contemporary sacred music.
Under the direction of Harry Castle, Director of Music, the choir is delighted to be visiting Wells Cathedral as part of its 2026 tour to Bath and Wells. Alongside singing Evensong at Wells Cathedral, the choir will also perform a lunchtime concert at Bath Abbey on Wednesday 21 October. The opportunity to sing in these magnificent settings is a highlight of the pupils’ musical year, and the choir is very much looking forward to contributing to the worship and musical life of the Cathedral.
