St Mary’s Ewell has had a choir for many years and had some distinguished organists and organ scholars, including William Harris, William T’Ansur, Henry Heron, Jeremy Cole, Maks Adach, and Jonathan Allsopp. The current Director is Jonathan Holmes. Senior Organ Scholar William Brooke will leave us for Peterborough Cathedral as Organ Scholar in September.
We sing every week at St Mary’s for the Choral Eucharist, and once a month for Evensong. We’ve sung at Wells three times and this will be our fourth visit. We’ve also sung at Exeter, Belfast, Chichester, Worcester, Portsmouth, Guildford, Liverpool, and St Albans in recent years. Wells remains a perennial favourite for us.
