We were delighted to hear and see Wells Cathedral Junior School student and former Chorister, Belinda Gifford-Guy win the BBC Young Chorister of the Year Competition 2023 yesterday, Sunday 3 December 2023.
The Choir and wider Cathedral community is extremely proud of her efforts in the competition, especially given the quality of all the young musicians involved.It was a spectacular event all round, and a thrill to watch Belinda’s fantastic, performative story-telling in the grand final.
