Tickets to this year’s popular Carols by Candlelight concerts are now on sale!

Experience these enchanting and highly-acclaimed concerts this Christmas at Wells Cathedral with three captivating performances on Thursday 19, Friday 20, and Saturday 21 December 2024 at 7.00 p.m.:

Immerse yourself in a world of seasonal choral classics and festive arrangements sung by the renowned Wells Cathedral Choir. Let their angelic voices, accompanied by  readings and poetry from a special guest, transport you to a realm of beauty and joy.

As night falls, witness the Cathedral aglow with over 3,000 twinkling candles, creating a timeless and sacred atmosphere that embraces the true spirit of the season. Don’t miss this opportunity to share in this treasured tradition, where the power of music, spoken word and candlelight unite to create an unforgettable celebration of Christmas within the awe-inspiring walls of Wells Cathedral.

Enhance your evening with a delightful two-course dinner at 5.00 p.m. in our award-winning café, The Loft—available to book online alongside your ticket (£19 per head).

Audience members can also choose to dedicate a candle to a loved one (£2). Your message will be written around the base of one of the candles that will be lit each night, and you can also choose to have your message printed in the programme as a keepsake.

Proceeds from these concerts will go to support the charitable work of the Cathedral.
