Visitors to the Cathedral can enjoy a new seating area in the Mary Mitchell Garden, enclosed by the Entry Cloister, which opened this month.

Maintained by the Cathedrals dedicated team of volunteer gardeners, The Mary Mitchell Garden was designed as a place of reflection for visitors. The space offers the perfect vantage point to soak up stunning views while enjoying the friendly atmosphere of the Entry Cloister.

Takeaway food and drink is also available from The Loft Café, which overlooks the garden. All food is freshly-prepared by our on-site team each day using local Somerset and Fairtrade produce wherever possible. Enjoy a range of morning pastries, warm cheese scones, and light lunch choices, then finish off some tasty homemade cakes and cream teas! All profits from the café go to supporting the work of the Cathedral.

Visitors are encouraged to buy or bring their picnics and make the most of this new seating area while the weather allows!
