17–19 February 2025
If you happened to be in the Cathedral over the half term holiday, you may have noticed the buzz of excitement and creativity as children and their families joined us for our latest set of holiday activities: Medieval Masterpieces!
Young families followed trails to discover some of the Cathedral’s most intriguing windows and carvings, and found inspiration for the craft activities they tried out afterwards. On Tuesday, many eyes were on the clock as expectant children looked up from their crafts to see the jousting knights and Jack Blandiver’s bell ringing – sometimes many times over!
It’s always such a pleasure to witness the creativity of children and young people at our activity days. Here are a just a few examples of the week’s creations from participants who ranged in age from 18 months to teens.
Our next set of Family Holiday Activities are on 7, 9, and 11 April 2025, when we’ll be offering Easter trails and crafts to make and take home. Children of all ages and the families or carers are very welcome.
Monday 7 April: Cross Creations Collect beads on our Easter crosses trail and make a necklace or keyring
Wednesday 9 April: Glorious Gardens Discover the Easter story as you follow our Cathedral map, then make an Easter garden
Friday 11 April: Card Crafts Follow our Easter story trail and make a card or decoration
