The Cathedral was filled with a joyful cacophony this month as the first Sounds Joyful CIC community music workshop took place in the Lady Chapel.
Over 100 adult participants took part in the workshop, including civic guests of the City and Cathedral clergy (transported to the event via the Wells Community Network Trishaw), alongside 20 pupils from Stoberry Park and the Levels school.
The inclusive musical workshop included singing, drumming, and a selection of inflatable guitars!
“A year ago we set out on the quest to bring together our whole community – regardless of age or ability – to sit side by side, share in music-making and create joy, together.
Today, with the support of our incredible team, the partnerships we’ve created and the inspiring space at Wells Cathedral, we achieved our vision. And goodness, did it feel good!
Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us today. Wells – we’ll be back!” — Sounds Joyful
